Dr David Nossel graduated from Wits Medical School in 1989. After practicing as a general practitioner in a large medical centre, Dr Nossel has opened his own practice focusing on both children and adults with cognitive issues, such as problems with focusing, concentration, memory, and anxiety. These include developmental delays and concerns, such as ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).

Throughout his high school and medical school careers as well as during his early days as a medical practitioner Dr Nossel had been searching for his unique personal calling. As part of that search he embarked on a spiritual journey which took him to Jerusalem for close to two decades. There he became a Rabbi and returned to his native South Africa to be a community leader.

Whilst still the spiritual leader of Waverley community Dr Nossel was approached by a family to assist them with their Autistic child. His engagement with the family soon made him realize that he had found the field in which he felt he should combine all his medical training with his passion to guide, assist and care for others, and he returned to full time medical practice.

He reached out to world leaders in the field of cognitive and developmental issues for guidance and training. He was tutored by leading authorities in ADHD and ASD based in the USA. These exceptional care-givers and experts schooled him in the principles and practice of the Biomedical approach to treating these conditions. Dr Nossel continues to share a close and ongoing relationship with them.

Dr Nossel has traveled to the USA to participate in the MAPS (Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs) world conference, where he met and made contact with some of the top Paediatricians and Health Care providers who specialize in the field of childhood neurodevelopmental disorders, including ASD.

Dr Nossel has developed a step-wise, logical and practical approach to the diagnosis and treatment of these cognitive and neurodevelopmental disorders. Through combining his thorough and caring approaches he has assisted numerous children and adults in achieving significant improvements in their wellbeing and functionality.
